I started The Fighters Rehab Center because of the death of two important people in my life. I lost both of my grandparents to illness one to multiple health issues, the other to cancer. When my grandfather passed during my high school years, I was on a team camping trip before a big game. The moment I got the text, grief overwhelmed me completely. At first, my teammates laughed, thinking I was joking, but soon they realized the depth of my pain. They gathered around me, embraced me, and prayed an experience that stayed with me forever.
Years later, after returning from three years of homelessness in Los Angeles, my grandmother passed. I remember making her vegan chili, asking her about trying it, she said she doesn't want it if it doesn't have meat in it, and seeing her smile as she chose powdered donuts instead. That day, a sense of unease lingered over me, a feeling I couldn’t yet understand. A week later, I came home from work to the devastating news that she had passed. Walking into her room and seeing the dozens of medicine bottles on her dresser was a moment that changed me forever. Though I didn’t cry at the time, the experience created an open wound, That I knew I needed to heal for myself and others.
That journey led me to immerse myself in personal development, fitness, and holistic healing. I became a NASM-certified personal trainer, graduated at the top of my massage therapy class at Parker University, and discovered a deep love for martial arts. Over time, I began to see the profound connections between physical training, mental resilience, and spiritual growth.
From these experiences, Fighters Rehab Center was born, a place that goes beyond sports and competition. Here, we support fighters of all kinds, both inside the ring and in life. We believe that everyone is a fighter in their own way, and our mission is to provide the tools, guidance, and community to help them thrive.
